Major Duties SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The incumbent provides direct administrative assistance to Behavioral Health Division staff.
Performs a variety of responsible administrative duties requiring a substantial level of judgment, experience, and discretion.
Screens calls and visitors, personally handles majority of requests for information and refers others as appropriate.
Uses a personal computer to transmit correspondence, reports, and other materials in final smooth format.
Collects, compiles and organizes information and data to meet administrative requirements.
Maintains organization and update of various files, regulations, manuals, and directives.
Reviews all incoming correspondence, determining proper action.
Reviews outgoing correspondence and reports ensuring proper format and concurrence with established directives.
Maintains calendar and schedules appointments and meetings according to workload and current issues of importance for management level positions.
Handles matters and situations of a confidential and sensitive nature.
Performs daily responsibilities independently.
Maintains required accreditation information and binders for inspections.
May utilize and update USMC Central Registry and USN ADMITS and other required systems.
The incumbent provides general information to military leadership and clients about behavioral health programs and services.
The incumbent of the position is required to obtain and maintain the eligibility for an IT-II Clearance.

Notifies the higher-level supervisor and senders immediately when personal identifiable information has been released and advises on how to properly recover, and/or protect information.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field appropriate to work of the position, or an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, or three years of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.
Skill to prepare documentation and presentations in proper format in accordance with naval correspondence rules of grammar and punctuation.
Skill to operate a personal computer, and associated peripheral equipment and software.
Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication.
Knowledge of clinical counseling services is preferred.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
