FIscal Technician II (Federal Accounts)

Under the limited supervision from the Accounting Manager, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining all financial records for all financial records relating to Federal, State, and local grants; including, but not limited to, the securing and maintenance of all grant documents, input and maintenance of budgetary journals and adjusting journal entries, reconciliation of College records to federal and state governmental agency reports, preparation of all State and Federal program reports, and the critical review of all expenditure documents and restricted account detail to ensure proper postings and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The position is integral to the annual audit function and will assist in this process through the preparation of all federal and state reconciliations and audit work-papers. The position also assists the Business Office through: the performance of cashier functions during Cashier absences, student registrations, and as needed to ensure prompt customer services.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
An Associate Degree with accounting related courses and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; or a high school diploma with four (4) years accounting/bookkeeping experience required. Preference given to applicants with Bachelor's degree and Accounting experience.
