The Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) is currently accepting applications under examining authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2164.
The purpose of this position is to serve as secretary and principal clerk of the office for a principal, assistant principal, or both, of a DoDEA school.

Receives calls, greets visitors, and directs inquiries to the appropriate member of the school staff. Reviews incoming correspondence and ensures distribution and/or appropriate posting of information of interest or concern to school personnel. Compiles information for a variety of one-time and recurring administrative and/or technical reports. Establishes priorities for the school office. Provides technical direction and oversight to the school''s clerical staff and office volunteers. Maintains and controls the principal''s and assistant principal''s calendars and schedules appointments without prior approval based on personal knowledge of their workload, priorities, and commitments. Make travel arrangements for school principal and school staff. Establish and manages all records and files related to school correspondence, mail distribution. Using a personal computer and a variety of software types, prepares letters, messages, memoranda, reports, charts, school bulletins, and other documents. A qualified typist is required. Serves as backup to the Student Information Assistant and assists by entering and retrieving student and school data.
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties unique to the school environment including, but not limited to. one or more of the following: Computer Terminal Area Security, Key Control, Substitute Teacher Coordination, Personnel and Payroll Coordination
For the GS-06 level: 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-05, is required.
Education is not substitutable or creditable.
Specialized
Experience: To qualify, applicants must posses one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-06). Specialized experience is defined as: experience in performing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative work for an office; experience in using various office automation tools, (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and coordinating conferences, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries.
Typing Proficiency Requirements: In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, applicants must include a certificate of proficiency or self-certify that they can type at least 40 words per minute. Your resume must support your self-certification of your typing ability. Otherwise you may not meet the minimum qualifications requirements for this position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
