### Description
The HSSI SSP Supply Clerk is a full-time non-exempt employee responsible for controlling, issuing, retrieving and maintaining accountability of Provost Marshal's Office (PMO)/Marine Corps Police Department (MCPD) supplies and equipment. The incumbent performs tasks related to the storage, issue, inventory and replacement of supplies and equipment. The SSP Supply Clerk reports directly to the Homeland Security Solutions, Inc. (HSSI) Site Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
1. Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, databases and e-mail.
2. Possess excellent organizational and file management skills and the ability to plan and execute administrative work with little or no supervision.
3. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
5. Ability to lift a maximum of 100 pounds, and to work in confined, window-less spaces.
6. Ability to perform basic arithmetic using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and to maintain a calm and consistent demeanor at all times.
8. Ability to professionally interact with customers, colleagues and command members at all levels; and to foster positive business relationships.
9. Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation or through on-the-job training.
Minimum Qualifications :
This position requires a high level of trust and confidence and as such the applicant must meet several pre-employment requirements.
1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
2. Must successfully pass initial drug screening and periodic follow-up testing.
3. Must possess or be able to obtain, if necessary, a "secret" security clearance.
4. Must successfully complete an HSSI background check.
5. Must possess a valid driver's license.
6. Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
7. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
8. One year of experience in warehousing, storekeeping, or supply room management, is desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
