Job Responsibilities
This position is located in the Workforce and Economic Development division in the Lowcountry region. Incumbent will develop and conduct group workshops and disseminates information pertaining to employment services such as interviewing skills, resume writing, labor market information, networking, financial independence, and job search methods. Engages and responds to workshop participants in order to provide information specific to individual job seeker needs. Provides employment service introductions, resource center program overviews, service and employment referrals, vocational guidance and labor market information to claimants, job seekers and partners in accordance with Wagner Peyser guidelines. Assists in developing instructional procedures, referrals to partners and employment and training materials for job seekers involved with career and reemployment research.
This position requires scheduled travel to the following counties: Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in consulting, advisement, evaluation, workforce expansion and career instruction or similar type activities. At least one year must have been in an instructional setting such as workshops or public speaking settings.
