This position is located in Beaufort, SC.
This position is a full-time term appointment not to exceed 3 years. Term appointments may be extended up to 4 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Vacancies from this announcement may be filled at the following grade levels: GS-09, GS-11.
This position has promotion potential to the GS-11 grade level. If selected below the full performance level, incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Extract information from files, documents, reports, publications, recordings, or other materials to use in support of EEO investigations.
Review EEO correspondence, reports, articles, or other materials to verify completeness, correctness, consistency, compliance, or authenticity.
Assist in the overall administration of the EEO complaints, investigation and adjudication process.
Coordinate Person with Disabilities Program with agency and community resources.
Establish contract with women organizations and community groups to improve recruitment efforts, promote EEO image and maintain two-way communications.

GS-09: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counseling assistance; applying EEO laws and regulations; providing support in the administration of EEO complaints, investigation and adjudication process; AND providing administrative support for Special Emphasis Affirmative Employment Programs.
OR
Possess a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLB., or J.D. (if related). The education must demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
OR
Possess a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal to 100 percent.
GS-11: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

Regular and recurring work generally involves sitting at a desk, and sitting in conferences and meetings except for occasional visits to activity work sites. Recurring use of automobile or public conveyance is required.
Work requires periodic visits to retail, recreational, and industrial areas. Special precautions and protective clothing normally are not required.
Selectee will be required to travel 20% between serviced commands for intake, counseling and local training and to attend out of area conferences for training.
Selectee may be required to work overtime.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
