Automotive Service Manager / Operations Manager

Searching for a Service Manager / Operations Manager who comes from a Class A truck dealership, heavy duty machinery dealership or a larger Ford or similar dealership! The Service Manager is a direct hire role!
Job Description: Service Manager / Operations Manager
Oversees the daily functions of the maintenance personnel at one or more project sites ensuring the most effective allocation of resources.
Performs maintenance management functions as directed by contract language, adhering to all contract schedules.
Ensures proper information flow of work order data to the administrative section.
Works directly with fleet management to respond to maintenance requirements.
Prepares spreadsheets, special reports and summaries for the General Manager, Fleet Manager and the customer.
Serves as a resource for subordinate personnel.
Serves as the General Manager's replacement in his/her absence.

The above duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities.
Ideal candidate started as a mechanic, and has worked their way up. However, if you are familiar with repairs and what needs to be done, that is also acceptable
These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company as needed.
Minimum Education & Certifications for Service Manager:
High school diploma or equivalent.
4 year degree in a business or related field preferred.
Experience & Skills Required for Service Manager:
Minimum 5 years fleet management experience / maintenance leadership experience a plus.
Computer literate and the ability to learn and work in a fleet maintenance system.
Must demonstrate evidence of ability to build solid relationships with supervisors, subordinates and Customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and continuously motivate highly effective teams.
Ability to interface with using agencies, directors, elected officials, operators, and all levels of hourly and salaried employees, including senior management.
Must be a self-starter, able to obtain successful results without supervision.
Valid driver's license.
Other:
Two weeks of vacation in the first year
Monday - Friday, days and as neededEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
